wrong choices vs. regrets
Saturday, August 20th, 2005The biggest impact one can have on their lives are the choices they make. We each make some sort of choices on a daily basis- what clothes to wear, what to eat for each meal of the day, where to unwind at the end of the day, what drink [or drinks] to order…oh well, you get my drift. These choices are the easy ones to make. The consequences of making a wrong choice of the above mentioned are not that dire…
But what happens if you have to make a significant decision and decided on the wrong choice? What are the repercussions then? And is it possible to redeem yourself onto the right path?
I think it’s crucial that one learns from his past and see that the same mistakes never get made again. But of course as humans, we never really learnt from our wrongs till they get made 3 or 4 times down the road after which, it would finally register in our minds.
It’s acceptable to make a wrong choice sometimes. I think by doing that and learning NOT to repeat our wrong choices, develops our character and helps us grow further- emotionally as well as mentally. However, it’s definitely not acceptable to make a wrong choice and then have regrets about it. What’s living if you don’t live IN the moment FOR the moment even if it was a wrong decision you made; it’s the experience that counts 100% and nothing else.
Having regrets will only weaken your spirit and burden your soul. Quit analysing the "what ifs" of the past and start living the "moments" of the present. Trust me, you wouldn’t wanna have it any other way.
I know I don’t.
As Robbie Williams sings it…
" No regrets, they don’t work
No regrets, they only hurt…"
Liberate yourself today. You’ve got NOTHING to lose…seriously.
